Westwood House has implemented extra cleaning and dis-infecting protocols, utilising anti-bacterial and anti-viral cleaning products (compliant with BS EN 1276 certification which kills 99.999% of germs), with extra attention paid to high touch areas, such as TV remotes, light switches etc. Social Distancing measures will be implemented. We have an ideal location being centrally situated in the historic county town of Dorchester, which is superbly located for exploring Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. Westwood House is an attractive, Georgian Town House, built in 1815 by Lord Ilchesters builders, for a Solicitor and his family. Converted to a town house guest house and personally run by resident owners Karl and Jocelyn the accommodation offers a comfortable, informal, non-smoking environment for the business or leisure visitor during their stay in Dorchester. The guest accommodation comprises of five ensuite bedrooms all individually styled and furnished to give a high level of comfort. All are well equipped with modern facilities, including freeview televisions, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. Dorchester is the County Town of Dorset and has a fascinating history, from the Bronze Age and Roman settlement to the lovely market town it is today. Places of historical interest include the home of the novelist Thomas Hardy, Maiden Castle Hill Fort, and the Maumbury Rings Roman Amphitheatre. Its many attractions include the bustling shopping precinct, museums, restaurants, cafes and inns. There are cycle routes, footpaths, golf courses, and many other activities to enjoy nearby.
