Woodside is a beautiful cottage in an amazing location and much loved by our family. We welcome dogs (2 /3 ) Dogs are NOT allowed upstairs . We have 2 gardens for you to use both are enclosed with 5-6 foot fences. The patio garden is attached to the cottage and the cottage garden s 5 paces from the front door. NB. We do not have a dedicated EV charging point, nor do we have a power socket, either indoors or outdoors, that is suitably rated, protected and certified as safe for use for charging an EV, or for plugging in a lead that is routed outdoors. We are therefore unable to allow the charging of EVs on the premises and if guests are found to be doing so will be asked to leave. We’re happy to direct guests to the nearest available public charging points and can provide this information in advance of arrival on request

Woodside's location is fabulous There's are fantastic dog friendly pubs in the area. Woodside is walking distance on minor lanes and footpaths to High Dam Lake. Woodside is also walking distance to Lake Windermere and being in the National Park pavements are few, care must be taken on the road to Lakeside pier. Many people walk the road to Lakeside Pier • We are in the Central lakes which makes it ideal for seeing all that the Lake District has to offer. • We are on the quiet side of the lake, making travel by car so much easier. No queuing through Windermere, Bowness or Ambleside! Instead go there by boat! • We are 12 mins walk away from the Windermere lake cruisers which will take you all around the lake to Windermere, Bowness or Ambleside • Taxis are readily available in the area by phone, if you don't want to use the car. • Woodside is at the very heart of Swallows & Amazons country. - the author is buried in Rusland Church Yard • This is an idyllic, peaceful area which will afford you the opportunity to recharge your batteries by spending precious time with loved one.
