Hi I'm Sue, I, along with my family, am hosting 4 luxury glamping pods just on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds! I grew up on the Wolds and have always felt it deserves more recognition as such a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Having been local to the area my whole life I am happy to answer any questions you might have and ensure you make the most out of your stay here.

Property info

Fully insulated and with underfloor heating, our pods are perfect for year-round glamping. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa, extendable dining table and chairs and a wall mounted Smart TV. The fitted kitchenette includes a ceramic hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and a range of crockery, glassware and pans. Please note there is no oven in this property. Our pods have been designed with families in mind and can sleep up to 5 with two double beds with Sealy mattresses and one single bunk which is ideal for a child so no one has to draw the short straw and sleep on a sofa bed! Given the unique layout of our pods it is even possible for the children to retire to bed while parents relax on the sofa with a glass of wine and a movie! Our beds are fully made up with luxurious cotton bed linen and duvets. Each pod contains a wet room complete with shower, heated towel rail and towels. Outside, each pod has its own furnished decking area which extends to an area which is ideal for appreciating the outdoors with its own seating and fire pit.

Situated on the border of North Yorkshire & the Riding of East Yorkshire at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, Bugthorpe Grange is located on the delightful Garrowby Estate, the largest of the Earl of Halifax’s Estates. Surrounded by rolling agricultural land and woodland the idyllic setting is perfect for your glamping holiday.

2. Bookings will not be accepted for hen or stag parties

3. Make sure you switch of the light and any electrical appliances before you leave the pod.

4. Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, never leave children without adult supervision.

5. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings or valuables of our guests.

6. Candles/open flames are not allowed inside the pods.

7. Only use the barbecue and brazier provided by us, guests are not allowed to use their own barbecues on site.

8. The use of fireworks or Chinese lanterns is not permitted on site.

9. No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, water, internet connection/television service.

10. Bugthorpe Grange is a working farm with livestock, potentially dangerous farm equipment and electric fencing (running off mains power).

11. Private areas are clearly marked. Bugthorpe Grange is our home so please respect the areas that are off limits, this is both for our privacy and your safety.

12. We ask that you do not approach or feed any livestock including horses and dogs.

Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
