Croeso. A warm welcome to Yr Hen Stabl - The Old Stable, our modern yet cosy cottage. Located in the rural idyll that is the Elwy Valley, the area is ideally located for the beautiful beaches and attractions of the North Wales coast as well as being a stones throw from the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). With a large garden and beautiful views Yr Hen Stabl is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Yr Hen Stabl is a one bedroom cottage, suitable for couples, friends or solo travellers. We have put a lot of thought into its renovation and hope it offers a luxurious but also a cosy and relaxing stay. The bedroom has a really comfortable king size bed with luxury bedding. There is also a wardrobe. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, crockery and equipment to make a meal. This includes an oven, induction hob, fridge with a freezer compartment (don’t worry there will be ice cubes!), slimline dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The kitchen and living room is an open plan space perfect for socialising The lounge has plenty of options to relax, with a sofa, armchair and a dining table and chairs with lovely views over the garden. There is free WiFi and a smart TV with Netflix, Disney, iPlayer and other terrestrial channels. The stylish bathroom has a walk in shower, sink with a heated mirror above it, WC and heated towel rail. We provide luxurious fluffy towels including hand towel and bath sheets. Yr Hen Stabl is situated in the grounds of our home. You have a large section of the garden at your disposal but we are nearby if you need any help, advice or just a chat. The garden is one of the highlights of the cottage with a patio and flat lawn area next to the cottage where you can sit, relax and enjoy the gorgeous views. We provide a welcome pack with essentials such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar, and olive oil. We also love to showcase the best of Wales so provide homemade Bara Brith which is a Welsh fruit loaf

The cottage is situated in the grounds of our home in the Elwy Valley, just outside the beautiful village of Llangernyw. A fantastic rural Welsh community where you're sure to get a warm welcome. The lovely village of Llangernyw is a short drive away with its small shop and great local pub, The Old Stag. As location it’s a hidden gem, peaceful, but ideally located for both the North Wales coast, such as Llandudno and Conwy, and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). You really do get the best of both worlds staying at Yr Hen Stabl. We're only 5 miles from the pretty market town of Llanrwst, with its many amenities and famous Tu Hwnt I’r Bont Tearooms and fifteen minutes from Betws y Coed, the gateway to Eryri. We are also very close to the popular Pilgrims Way walk and would be happy to drive you too and from the path by prior arrangement.
