Its stone walls were built by a local Tz’utujil stonemason using stone from the land, and the original beams were repurposed into furniture designed by the host. Upstairs, you’ll find two spacious 2x2 m king-size beds; downstairs, two comfortable single sofa beds. The house is ideal for 6 guests due to having only one bathroom, but two extra futons can accommodate up to 8 people. The workspace and balcony with lake views, organic Mediterranean-style fireplace, 55” screen, and warm lighting complete the interior ambiance. Outside, the porch with hammocks, the deck with loungers, the pool, and firepit area make this one of the most exclusive spots in the region. Pets are welcome as long as they stay off beds and sofas. This is a countryside home—you may encounter spiders or insects. The house is thoroughly cleaned after each stay and has exterior security cameras. A traditional wooden canoe is available for guests to explore the lake.

In addition, San Pedro is exceptionally well connected: it is accessible via a safe, paved road from anywhere in the country, and also by boat, with two public docks. The town has long been known for the warm and welcoming nature of its people and for the rich cultural heritage of its residents, who belong to the Tz’utujil Maya ethnic group.
