Sleep in the heart of nature on the shores of Lake Atitlán, with meals included during your stay. The property is spacious and peaceful, surrounded by forest with direct lake access. It is a simple and authentic place designed for travelers seeking calm, nature, and an experience far from a conventional hotel. The site is completely isolated and has no road access. It can only be reached by boat from nearby villages, which helps preserve the silence, open views, and connection with the natural surroundings. There is a shared outdoor kitchen with basic utensils (pots, pans, plates, glasses, and cutlery). It is currently under construction and has no floor yet, so some dust is normal. Equipment is functional but simple, and some items are old rather than modern. You will also find a common table, hammocks, filtered drinking water, a cold shower, and a dry toilet. Solar electricity is available all day for charging devices, and Starlink Wi-Fi allows you to stay connected or work remotely. Food is included without limits for self-managed cooking. You will have access to staples like oil, vinegar, rice, beans, wheat flour, eggs, muesli, and corn tortillas, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of spices. If you want items like honey, milk, cheese, coffee, pasta, peanut butter, olive oil, other grains, meat, fish, or special fruits and vegetables other than the ones we provide, you will need to buy them in the village. Occasionally, some of these products are available on-site at lower prices. Laundry service is available for Q30. You can sleep in a tent with a mattress or in a hammock with a mosquito net. Both include a pillow and sleeping bag. The property also has gardens, lake views, a small private beach, and firewood for bonfires. Not recommended for those seeking comfort or high standards of cleanliness. Ideal for people who enjoy nature, simple living, and quiet, remote environments, including digital nomads.

I created this space as a personal project to live closer to nature and share it with people who appreciate simple and quiet environments. I am usually on the property from Saturday to Thursday. When I am not there, I remain available via message in Spanish, English, or French for any questions or coordination. Eliseo, our local caretaker, works on-site from Monday to Saturday, approximately from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. He can help you get oriented and assist with practical aspects of the property. The space is shared with other guests and with volunteers participating in programs such as Workaway, WWOOFing, and Worldpackers. The atmosphere is based on respect, coexistence, and individual autonomy. Everyone staying on the property is responsible for keeping shared spaces clean and organized. This is a self-managed environment rather than a hotel, and there is no professional cleaning service. Dogs and chickens live on the property and move freely. They are calm and used to people.

The property is located in a rural area of Lake Atitlán, on the slopes of the San Pedro volcano, surrounded by forest and natural landscapes. Access is only by boat, as there is no road connection. A private boat from Santiago Atitlán costs Q50 per trip. You can also rent a traditional indigenous canoe (cayuco) for around Q4 per day. We also offer guided hikes to the San Pedro, Tolimán, and Atitlán volcanoes, providing a great opportunity to explore the volcanoes with local knowledge and support. The nearest town is Santiago Atitlán, a Tz’utujil Maya village with local markets, small shops, and strong cultural traditions. From there, public boats connect to other villages around the lake such as San Juan, San Pedro, San Marcos, and Panajachel. As in any natural environment, insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and moths are present depending on the season. The area remains calm and relatively untouched by mass tourism, offering a more peaceful and authentic experience of the lake.
