Driving ,walking ,cycling the Wild Atlantic Way round Achill island is very popular with our guests you can park the car and simply enjoy the quiet ,tranquil magnificent surroundings you may be lucky enough to sight dolphins jumping and playing in the bay we are adjacent to Keem Bay voted as the third best beach in the world .here sharks have been spotted regularly and can be clearly seen when in the area The Deserted village is a short walk away from the house it is similiar but very moving famine village where ruins of 80 houses are The lasy beds where the potatoes grew are clear to be seen here Purteen Harbour is 1 km from the B & B where you can see boasts coming and going during the day and the various catches of fish being caught by our local fishermen .There is a Grainne uaile Castle 9 k.m away which is very impressive and the view from the top of Minaun Mountain which you can drive to is amazing To top all that you can enjoy lovely fresh food fish just caught and prepared daily at Cliff House
