This is a truly exceptional place on the map of Ireland. You won’t find rooms like these anywhere else — each one has its own unique theme and character, with such thoughtful and creative interior design. The house is warm all year round, so you’ll never experience dampness or cold — something that can be rare in Ireland! The rooms are spotlessly clean thanks to the wonderful attention to detail by Maria from Ukraine — thank you, Maria! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast selection was amazing — so many delicious options for every taste. Thank you, it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. It truly deserves every one of its five stars! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I like the warmth and friendliness of the people I met, and the helpfulness. Achill Island is very beautiful and because I came by electric car I was delighted to find a new charger near the hotel - a practical point but important for me. Also having a car made getting around easy. If God could be persuaded to hold off the rain next time I visit that would be great

Stayed for 2 days and felt it was enough. Plenty of beaches all around the island to choose from. We drove all around the island and visited the distillery, sea salt outlet and smallest pub on the island, great guinness.

Valley house is a lovely, friendly spot.

Valley house is a lovely, friendly spot. The new kitchen area that guests can use is spotless and very well equipped. The restaurant serves gorgeous food and the bar is a very cosy spot with music most evenings and best of all no TV. The surrounding countryside is stunning and so peaceful. Well worth a visit.

Dooagh is a beautiful place and a short distance to the Beach. We had breakfast at Ted's one morning, a meal at the Amethyst Bar, all food was delicious. The staff were so friendly and professional. We also visited the Crepes van on the beach beside the Caravan park, which were a nice treat to have while going for a walk on the beach. Before heading home we visited the Achill Experience Aquarium, which was a lovely experience and the shop has a wide variety of little gift ideas

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing.

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing. There weren't any shops open while we were there over Easter, which was lovely. There might be more open during the summer. If we needed food we headed to Keel. The Beach Hotel in Doogort was open at the weekend and there were plenty of people in the bar but it closed again once Monday came. There are a few places to eat on the island, Mastersons bar being the closest. There is also a great wee place called Pure Magic which did lovely pizzas. The drive to Keel doesn't take long and has a few more bars and restaurants. If you want a quiet break with breathtaking scenery you're going to the right place. A drive to Keem Bay is definitely worth it but try to go early/late to avoid the crowds. We saw a seal coming out of the water and basking sharks not too far out in the sea.

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely.

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely. We did a boat trip with seascape safaris - around the nearby islands and saw birds, seals, dolphins etc. Lots of lovely beaches, some historical monuments and several information boards at various locations around the island supplying local history. Surprising good food. We lunched , then the next day caked at , I think it was called An Dun - gorgeous food and amazing views of Sliabh Mór. We had dinner 3 nights, each hotel and Teds. All very good though my personal favourite was Teds. I would happily go back for another visit - beautiful location for walking, running, swimming or generally relaxing
