Omg it was like coming HOME!! There as a cozy fire in the fireplace as soon as I walked in with the warmest Welcome!!I even got a beer from next door and brought it back to sit in front of the fire to relax. Susan was Amazing and so accommodating and I felt like I was so well taken care of. The room was so clean. The bed was so comfortable. I slept so sound the next two nights!! she had a wonderful porridge breakfast already for me in the morning, and she even packed me a little extra wonderful bread for my day of Hiking. She made me feel like family there. It was the best feeling and I would go back and stay there again.!!! 😊 thank you so much🫶🙏🤩

I like the warmth and friendliness of the people I met, and...

I like the warmth and friendliness of the people I met, and the helpfulness. Achill Island is very beautiful and because I came by electric car I was delighted to find a new charger near the hotel - a practical point but important for me. Also having a car made getting around easy. If God could be persuaded to hold off the rain next time I visit that would be great

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely.

The parkrun on the greenway was lovely. We did a boat trip with seascape safaris - around the nearby islands and saw birds, seals, dolphins etc. Lots of lovely beaches, some historical monuments and several information boards at various locations around the island supplying local history. Surprising good food. We lunched , then the next day caked at , I think it was called An Dun - gorgeous food and amazing views of Sliabh Mór. We had dinner 3 nights, each hotel and Teds. All very good though my personal favourite was Teds. I would happily go back for another visit - beautiful location for walking, running, swimming or generally relaxing

Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts. Some excellent views, and lovely beaches. You can drive up the mountains for outstanding vistas. But be careful as roads can be quite narrow. Weather was good when we needed it to be, but it was very wet at times. Crew Bay Cruise was very enjoyable and well worth a visit. Food on the Island (i.e.Teds and The Amethyst) was very good and reasonably priced.

Achill Sound was a perfect location for our family, not in the middle of the hustle & bustle of some of the very popular beaches but close enough to everything that was needed. We discovered a lovely beach at Dugort, went cycling on the Greenway and on the Island and eat at Achill Sound hotel. All good.

First visit to this area, unbelievable , my mind was blown on our drive from the sound into Achill island. I had no idea such a place even existed in Ireland! (From Monaghan :) ) Beautiful beaches, scenery & friendly locals.

Amazing family suite, large rooms with seperate 2nd bedroom was a massive plus, we had three bed (double and single in the large room with lots of room for travel cot, bags, clothes and room for. Kids to play) second bedroom had a double bed and was seperate which was a god send, the kids slept in the big room and we could go in and out without disturbing them. Good and staff are brilliant, friendly and helpful without being too intrusive, Super welcoming hotel with great location

Outstanding B&B in every respect. Room was immaculate and had nice touches, water bottles, shower cap, kettle with tea making supplies, TV etc. Breakfast was as good as you would get in a 5 star hotel! Host, including the dog, were really friendly and helpful and will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location was superb with an uninterrupted view from dining/living room of Achill Sound and the mountains beyond. In addition the location was very quiet and peaceful. However Athill Sound shops were very close; only a few minutes drive away.
