We have been running a holiday letting business for almost thirty years. We live on a family farm where we welcome guests to enjoy beautiful surroundings where there are lots of activities to enjoy close by. We also hire out fishing boats on Lough Mask where you can fish for trout, pike and perch. We can provide a guide to help you find your way about on the lake. The European Cup Fly Fishing competition takes place during the third weekend in May. We grow organic vegetables and you can help yourself to our produce when in season. You can go hiking for miles around the countryside, hire bikes to cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way, we are close to Connemara, you can take day trips to Westport, Achill, Clare Island and so many more beautiful destinations. We always make sure you get some of our homemade soda bread. There are plenty of pubs where you can enjoy traditional Irish music and hear our local Irish language. You will get a warm welcome in the West of Ireland. You can hire a boat with engine and try a trip on the lake and you can also hire a fishing guide.

Carraigin Ban is a traditional style cottage although it was built in 1999. It has a beautiful view of Lough Mask, a spacious garden and has a very comfortable open plan living/dining and kitchen area with a mezzanine area where you can find a quiet place to read. There are three double bedrooms with single beds which you can use as double. There is a family bathroom and an ensuite, ample wardrobe space and extra blankets should you need them. The house has an open fire and central heating. The location is very peaceful but not too far away from neighbours. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a large dining space both in and outdoors.

The local area is very scenic. There are views of the lake and mountains all about. It is ideal for walking and hiking. You can walk to the shores of Lough Mask or into the local village where you will find a playground, pub and local shop. There is also a signposted walk to the local waterfall. There are three other local pubs and you can also dine out locally. Fishsing for brown trout is one of our most popular activites and we can provide boats and a guide to get you started.
