It has its own gated entrance and driveway. A large privacy fence exits between this gatehouse and the other property.

This is a family run property! We run a small sheep farm beside the chalet. If you are lucky enough to stay in springtime you will see our sheep and new lambs running around the fields. If your interested in knowing more about the history of the area and farm just ask!

Ashford Castle (15mins) Walk through the woods and grab a coffee at Mrs. Tea’s on the grounds of the original home of the Guinness family. Be sure to visit the Guinness Tower. Ross Errilly Friary (5mins) This is the best preserved monastic site in Ireland. The Cuckoos Nest has a particularly close relationship with this historic site as during the siege of Cromwell the Franciscan monks fled to this farmland. Ballycurrin Lighthouse (5 mins) Europe’s only in-land lighthouse (1772). According to local legend was built by Mrs Henry Lynch to ensure that her husband returned safely across the lake from the pubs in Galway and Cong. Lough Corrib via Greenfields Lodge (10 mins) Beautiful views and walk of the lake. Good place to stop for a drink. Food & Drink Moytura at the Riverside, Cross (10 mins) - Excellent food! Campbell's Tavern (10 mins) Live music, pizza, and lovely atmosphere! Pizza kitchen is open Thursday to Sunday. Available for takeaway.
