My stay there was exactly as advertised. The accommodation was small but perfectly formed. Wi-fi access / TV were all working. The host was lovely and went above and beyond, sending me my glasses when I left them there in error. I would highly recommend. Lovely stay.

A truly charming estate where every corner whispers history. One of a kind place and I’m looking forward to come back here again. We had a two bedroom apartment upstairs with the kitchen, spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Breakfast was served just is if it were out of Jane Austin book, adding timeless atmosphere. The location is close to Kylemore Abbey and Castle Ashford. The roads that take you to all of these places is another beautiful thing to behold — magical and unforgettable experience.

It was in an idyllic country location. The personal touch by the host and hostess were especially welcomed. There was ample space for a couple. They supplied us with coffee and milk and nibbles. We felt very welcomed.

The Lodge is located in Dunmore, within 13 miles of Claremorris Golf Club and 18 miles of Knock Shrine.

The Lodge accommodations were very modern and comfortable, although hiking luggage up the steps for an older couple was a little difficult. The bathroom, the bedroom area were more than adequate and in fact of interesting design being on the top floor. Mary, the lady who checked us in made it easy to get our key.

We wanted to say to Mary a big ‘Thank You’ for a very comfortable and pleasant stay we had at Country Haven. The breakfast was amazing as was the room itself. Mary seemed to have thought of everything a person may potentially need while traveling and staying overnight with you. My husband has been working in the tourist industry for over 25 years and he mentioned that any private host that does business on Booking or AirB&B should come there for an internship ;). Exceptional! We stayed for one night for a function nearby and we were absolutely delighted with our stay. Our host could not have been more helpful or welcoming. We had asked ahead if we could change in the hotel prior to check in as we needed to attend the function early in the day. When we arrived before noon, we were amazed and delighted to be able to check in to the room immediately. Our room was beautiful and spacious with everything we could need and more and we had a lovely informal and relaxed breakfast in the morning. The castle and the gardens are incredible and we got to visit the tower house also. So relaxed and welcoming, highly recommended.

Charming cabin, very well planned and laid out. Modern and nicely finished. Thoughtfully decorated. Our 2 year old really enjoyed the hens and dogs. It was an an added bonus for her. David looked after us really well, can highly recommend. Had a lovely time while staying here. Nice, calm spot in the countryside.
