The house is a 4 floors building, build in 1937. We have renovate it but kept its originality and essence. It is a very beautiful family building that will give you the idea on how locals live in Reykjavík. The house is in front of an elementary school where all our children went when they were young. You will be able to meet locals as it is a residential area.

I am an Colombian immigrant living in this beautiful country for the last 30 years. Iceland is a magical country and I feel blessed to be able to call it home. Its nature mesmerized me. I love hiking in Iceland; visiting swimming pools, going for long walks by the sea shore.I love Icelandic food and water; their music, concerts and the cultural life. But most of all, its people! They are very kind; they like to help and they know how to celebrate. I hope you will be able to experience Iceland as I have done and keep doing. I love travel and meeting people from all over the world. I have learned that we all are the same and it is so beautiful. I really hope that you will enjoy your stay in our place.

This is a university area and very well located. We have been in this neighborhood since I came to Iceland and we have so many friends here that it is like living in a small town. Our children's elementary school is just across the street and the next sports club is just in a 5 minute walking distance. Swimming pool, supermarkets, library, museums and the University of Iceland are also in a walking distance from us. We love to live in this place. Getting around Everything is very close to us. The best way to travel around our neighborhood is on foot or by bike. The Bus Terminal is just ca. 25 min. walking from our place. You can board any airport shuttle (Airport Express, Fly bus, etc) and ask to be dropped off at Hotel Grandi. There are free public parking slots on the streets.
