Whether admiring Northern Lights from the hot tub in winter or sipping wine on the patio in summer, our cozy wooden cabin is the perfect getaway for your stay in Iceland. The cabin is located in a beautiful and quiet surroundings with many opportunities for great hikes and other nature experiences all year round, an hour drive from Reykjavík and only ten minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes. Our cabin is a cozy and homely 46 square meter wooden house that has two small bedrooms - each with a double bed, one bathroom and a bright, open space with kitchen area, living room with a large, comfy sofa-bed and a dining table. It has a large and beautiful patio with outside furnitures and a modern hot tub that comfortably fits four people. The cabin has all necessary appliances such as a medium size fridge with a little freezer, stoves, microwave, coffee machines, charcoal grill, and a bluetooth speaker. The Wifi is free and works very well. The cabin is perfect for couples, very suitable for four people and fits six. We hope you'll come to love it as much as we do!

Hi! We are Bjarney, from Iceland and Manuel, from Mexico. We are married and current living on a farm in Hvalfjarðarsveit Iceland. We are just starting our hosting experience together but we've been hosting before separately and really enjoyed the experience. We love travelling and have visited quite a lot of places together, through which we have understood what is expected from a great stay. So our aim as hosts is to provide to you the best experience we can. We are easy going and positive people who're open to new cultures and we like meeting people from different backgrounds. Combined we speak English, Icelandic, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. We would be happy to have you as our guests and do our best to ensure you have a great stay!

The cottage is positioned beneath a mountain named Hafnarfjall. It is an 850-meter summit with spectacular views over the area surrounding our cottage. The area is a great central point to travel from, both upwards to the west and or drive into the Golden Circle area to see some of Iceland's most popular attractions such as Gullfoss, Geysir, and Thingvellir. In the west, you have magnificent attractions such as Snaefellsjokull, Husafell, Hraunfossar, Deildartunguhver and much more. Inland by Husafell is an access point for glacial tours on Langjokull which offers Ice-Cave explorations and spectacular views that cannot be found elsewhere. The view from the house is great. In good conditions, you can see towards Snaefellsjokull which is a 700.000-year-old stratovolcano, famous for its feature in the novel "Journey to the center of the earth" by Jules Verne. Also in the area, a short drive, there are great attractions such as Langisandur, Akranes Museum Center, Glymur, Akranes Lighthouse, War and Peace Museum, Akranes Folk Museum and more.
