The brilliant thing about Iceland is how small it is. You can drive for 30 minutes and have totally different scenery. Most people in the world are raised up in a city. Why not give the city a rest and enjoy the silence, the stars and the northern lights. Heima Holiday Homes have 8 houses. All houses have private bathroom, living room with kitchen, living room area and king size bed and flat screen tv. All our houses have amazing panorama view over volcanos mt. Hekla and mt. Eyjafjallajökull. On a clear day you can also see Langjökull glacier.
We are family of 4. Halli, former sales- and marketing manager of a printing company and Helga, former teacher and real estate agent . We were raised up in the city but decided to move to the country side in 2014. Our two kids, Sunneva and Nonni are active in the family business. The accommodation is next to our home so we are always around to assist our guests.
Restaurants and shops are only 20 minutes away. Heima Holiday Homes are situated on the Golden Circle. In a 50 km radius are Þingvellir National Park, Þjórsárdalur, Gullfoss, Geysir and many more spots. We know our country well so if you want to see the typical tourist spots or go on an adventure to the unknown we will help you to plan a safe trip. All the houses have a kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. There are some very nice restaurants in the neighbourhood, the shortest distance to a restaurant is a 10 minute drive.
