A sofa by day and a single or double bed by night.A smart solution when you live in small space.Wi-Fi connection. I wish you a happy and refreshing holiday and welcome to in the suburbs of Reykjavik-Kjalarnes district. A nice place by the ocean,30 km from the center of Reykjavik.

This is a great location for you to explore south -west Iceland by car.You need not travel far to see and visit interesting places. The Icelandic nature has a lot to offer all year round. Historic areas, fjords, valleys and the magnificent waterfalls. Icelands highest waterfall ,Glymur, lies deep in Hvalfjörður fjord, about 30 min. drive north from here. A drive to Þingvellir, our magnificent national park, the old parliament area ,takes just about 40 min. The Atlantic ocean ridge is very visible there. A sight to see ! The great waterfall Gullfoss and the famous Geysir and Strokkur, both hot springs, in Haukadalur valley are about an hour and a half away.

Is called Grundarhverfi , in Kjalarnes district . The village, which is a suburb of Reykjavík since 1998, has about 1000 inhabitants. The village is located between the shore and the west slopes of the Esja mountain (914 meters high) A beautiful view on Reykjavík-city is over the ocean. The city-center is ca. 30 min. drive away. It takes about 50 minutes by bus nb.57 and 50( on the bus website : straeto . is ) With a stop in Mosfellsbær ( bus stop: Háholt ) the nearest town 15 min. away, with its many interesting places, and services. Bus transportation to both north and west Iceland is 3.min on foot distance from house. The main road ; the ring road nr.1, around Iceland, lies about 600 meters away. A petrol station is here, where you can also shop for necessities. Cheaper stores are the Bónus or Krónan stores. Both are in the next town ; Mosfellsbær, as in many other towns in Iceland.This is a great location for you to explore south -west Iceland by car.You need not travel far to see and visit interesting places.
