Pálína Cottage Studio is in the best location on the Golden Circle, near Laugarvatn. This is a very beautiful 20m2 studio apartment. Everything is new and kept very neat and tidy. Accessibility is good, but no wheelchair access. You can bring the car up close so you don't have to carry your bags far. underfloor heating in the main room as well as the bathroom. All necessary utensils are included in the kitchen, along with pots and pans, a microwave, coffee machine, a kettle, a toaster and then a gas grill outside. Just a few meters from the house is a beautiful stream called Stangarlækur, and it is so clear that you can see the fish swimming in it if you are lucky. We are located in the middle of the Golden Circle where Geysir is 38 km away and Gullfoss 48 km. Þingvellir is 27 km away and is one of the most famous and beautiful parts of Iceland, the Icelandic Parliament was held there from around 930 until 1798, when it was moved to Reykjavík. The closest town is Laugarvatn, which is 11 km away. There is a spa called Fontana located in the town as well. Laugarvatnshellir is a remarkable sight because people lived there until the last century, and it is only 15 km away. It is also on the same route as the one taken to Þingvellir. Borg in Grímsnes (6 km away), there is a swimming pool and hot tubs. Other places of interest include: Skálholt Church (22 km away). Friðheimar (20 km away), a very interesting place to visit. They have greenhouses where they produce organic tomatoes and serve a great soup made out of them in their restaurant. Sólheimar (18 km away) is a sustainable community which consists of about 100 people with and without special needs working together, growing organic vegetables
