For my family and I, the idea of "home" has always meant a place to meet, to share and feel good. When we first bought this big house, there was full of place for the people we loved : friends, parents that lived far away. Today our children left the "nest", our parents have left..... We still have friends, but the ones who lived abroad rarely come along to say hello ! This big house, nearly 200 years old, has been reorganized with all modern comfort to welcome people who want to share and feel good and quietly. Both our double bedrooms, each with private bath and balcony are equipped with free wifi, air conditioning and a tiny fridge; no television, neither in our rooms, nor in the whole apartment - there is so much to do in our beautiful area ! The stairs are to be shared with the owners who live in the house with a tender dog, Myrta (5 years old) and an old shy cat Tiffany. Small pets are welcome. In the village, streets are quite narrow - not easy when you're not used to it, you will find easily some free parking in the village and then walk about 200 meters up to our house.
These are the things I cannot live without : my family, a good book, friends (mine, my children's friends, my friends' friends...), good food and e mountains - when I see the snowy peaks, I breath better ! I love cinema and all kind of art. Though I'm a rather contained and sensitive person, I like having people around and sharing pleasant moments together !
Il Cortile di Mamma Mia is located in a tiny village called Pisano, 2 km far from Meina outflow of A26 motorway, just a few minutes far from the lake shores (4 km), and about 30 minutes far from Malpensa International Airport. Milan is 50 minutes by car and Arona rail station only 15 minutes. On demand the owners organize a shuttle service for those who travel without a car, but then it's not that easy to move without a car. Trains (from Arona) are quite often late and there are few buses to move around. A wide choice of restaurants offer typical and local food and wine, so as many festivals in our small villages offering you such a unique landscape. Just a few minutes from away from Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta you'll have the opportunity to practise any kind of nautical sport, besides tennis, golf, horse riding, motocross, trekking and rock climbing. Nice and interesting are our small museums, really untypical. The flowers of our area are so fantastic : camelia, magnolia, azalea and rosebay design such wonderful coloured landscape . Everything here invites to relax and discover small hidden treasures !
