This monumental square is famous for its white marble porticoes that create a unique and elegant setting. The columns of Piazza Mazzini in Catania are an architectural element of great value and have a fascinating history that links them to the city's Roman past. Our B&B offers comfortable rooms and a warm welcome. The square is famous for its porticoes that run along all four sides, supported by 32 white marble columns. These columns are believed to originate from Catania's ancient Greco-Roman theater. Once home to the city market, today the square is a hub of restaurants, pizzerias, and shops, making it an ideal stop. ​Furthermore, the square plays an important role during the feast of Sant'Agata, as it is one of the focal points of the route of the Saint's fercolo.
