The house is located in one of the most panoramic and charming areas of the historic center of Amalfi, a short walk from the main square and the famous Amalfi Cathedral (Duomo di Sant’Andrea), the symbol of the town. The cathedral, dedicated to Saint Andrew, dates back to the early medieval period and dominates Piazza Duomo with its impressive staircase and richly decorated façade.  Just steps away you can visit the beautiful Cloister of Paradise, a peaceful medieval cloister built in the 13th century and surrounded by elegant arches and slender columns, once used as the burial place for the noble families of Amalfi.  Amalfi itself is one of the most iconic towns on the Amalfi Coast, famous for its dramatic setting between the sea and steep cliffs, its historic maritime heritage, and its lively atmosphere full of restaurants, cafés, boutiques and artisan shops.  From the property you can easily explore the town on foot: the main beach, the picturesque harbour, traditional lemon groves and the charming streets of the historic center are all within walking distance. The nearby village of Atrani — one of the smallest and most authentic villages in Italy — can also be reached with a pleasant short walk along the coast. Amalfi is also an ideal base for discovering the entire Amalfi Coast: from here you can easily reach Positano, Ravello, Praiano, Capri and the islands of the Gulf of Naples by ferry, bus or private boat.
