Few minutes walking and you can be in one of the many attractive places of the city, such as Stesicoro’s square (Piazza Stesicoro), Via Etnea, Via Umberto, Via Crociferi (where most of the Baroque architecture can be found), Teatro Massimo Bellini (the old theatre of Catania), The Cathedral, University square, the Duomo square etc., and only 1 km (around 15 minutes walk) from the central station. The apartment is located in the old town, the most important touristic location. Historical markets, archaeological sites and museum are all within walking distance. The Fiera is an ancient market in the middle of the city centre, very peculiar! You can be there in strict contact with the real folks "catanesi"! They should try to sell you everything, let you taste something, speak loudly and you must bargain with them to get the best price. Everything nearby the Fiera is cheap and convenient by definition, people talk with you often (even if in Italian) with the sole intention of interaction, that’s why we choose to live here!
