Overlooking Lake Como, Chalet Como Lake is a small retreat immersed in nature, designed to offer an authentic slow-living experience. The experience begins before you even arrive. Accessible exclusively on foot, the chalet invites you to leave everyday life behind and reconnect with nature from the very first step. From the roadside parking area, a pleasant trail winds through olive groves, woodland and a stone staircase, leading to the chalet in approximately 15 minutes. If you come with public transports it is 30 minutes walking from the lake. This walk is an integral part of the experience and is especially appreciated by hikers, cyclists, nature lovers, and anyone who enjoys an active outdoor holiday. We recommend comfortable walking or hiking shoes, and a backpack rather than a wheeled suitcase. From here, the view opens onto Bellagio and Lake Como, creating a peaceful atmosphere where, especially at sunrise and sunset, you may spot deer and other local wildlife. The lake-view double room features a king-size bed, a private bathroom, and is designed to offer comfort and relaxation. Inside, you will find a cosy coffee corner with an espresso machine, kettle, mini fridge, breakfast essentials, and a small table for two. The large panoramic terrace becomes a natural extension of the room. Here you will find a comfortable lounge area, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen where you can cook at your leisure, a spacious dining area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the open air, and two comfortable sun loungers where you can relax or simply admire the view. Crockery, cutlery, glasses, and all dining essentials are conveniently provided in the room. This small chalet has a special story. Marco personally restored the chalet, transforming an old mountain building into a peaceful place immersed in nature. The project was born from a dream shared with his partner and created with the idea of building a special place also for their family — a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the beauty of Lake Como. Because the chalet is located in the forest and cannot be reached directly by car, all the renovation materials had to be transported along the path through the woods with a wheelbarrow. During the renovation he learned to do almost everything himself – from floors to walls – patiently rebuilding the chalet piece by piece. Today the place reflects that dedication: the silence and the view of the lake create a truly special atmosphere. Marco is always happy to share tips about the best places to visit around the lake, scenic walks and beaches.

The chalet is located on the path leading to the panoramic church of San Martino. You can go trekking directly from the house, taking trails to Monte Nava, Monte Crocione, and S. Martino. In 20 minutes on foot, you can reach the beach at the Griante lido, which has a bar and rents canoes and SUPs. If you’re looking for an easy walk, you can follow the Greenway, which passes through five charming lakeside villages. The ferry to Bellagio, Varenna, and Villa Carlotta is a 5-minute drive away, and Menaggio is 10 minutes.
