In the mid-1800s, this property belonged to the municipal secretary of Furore, Salvatore Pisacane, a cousin of Carlo Pisacane: an Italian patriot and revolutionary. The buildings of Don Salvatore were famously elegant, fashioned in classical architectural style. Entered through a picturesque inner courtyard with views of Capo di Conca and Praiano, Domus Caterina comprises three apartments: Apartment Casa Caterina (with a small balcony and sea view), Apartment Casa dei Limoni (with a small balcony and sea view), and Antica Cisterna (no balcony but with a patio). Features include air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, a private bathroom (with shower, bidet, toiletries, hair-dryer, etc.), and a kitchen equipped with a fridge, stovetop cooker, dishwasher, and kitchenware. For a quiet village of 750 people, Furore has a lot to offer besides spectacular views. At a short distance from the apartment, you can find: hostaria/restaurant Bacco Furore (5 minutes walk away), Cantine di Marisa Cuomo (for authentic world-renowned local wine) 5 minutes walk, Agriturismo Sant'Alfonso (6 minutes walking), Luca's Furore Restaurant/Pizzeria-Bar (9 minutes walk), Bianca Zita Restaurant, Relish Lounge Bar & Restaurant (13 minutes walk), Agriturismo da Serafina, L'Incanto, Pizzeria La Selva, and so on. Domus Caterina is 1.6 km from the Fjord of Furore Beach. Amalfi Cathedral is 10 km from the accommodation, whilst Amalfi Harbour is 11 km away. The nearest airport is Naples International which is 52 km (just over an hour’s drive) from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service to be booked in advance. A car or scooter rental service is available at the apartment. At about 1km (10-13 minutes walking), you will find a small supermarket (next to Luca's Pizzeria/Restaurant) where you can buy your essentials and local products. The closest bus stop is a 1-minute walk from the apartment. Suppose you would like to do a bigger shopping. In that case, you can either go to the minimarket 'La Borsa dei Sapori' in Furore (21 minutes walking or 7 minutes by car) or you can go to Agerola where there will be plenty of supermarkets and independent shops (9 minutes driving). Furore also has a pharmacy, post office, and a bar (6 minutes drive from the apartment). Furore has a lot to offer, such as Giardino della Pellerina, 'La Passeggiata dell'Amore', Cantine di Marisa Cuomo, Fiordo di Furore, Chiesa di San Michele (all reachable on foot), but to fully experience the Amalfi Coast, we recommend renting a small car or scooter to get around.
