Located in the beautiful municipality of Porto Valtravaglia, the apartment offers, on one side, a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore and Caldè fort and on the other a panoramic view of green mountains of the valley. The apartment has just been completely renovated, giving it a new life and splendor. The main room consists of an open-plan living room and a modern kitchen. To top it off, a large terrace, equipped with every comfort, enables you to enjoy in perfect relaxation the sounds of the surrounding nature and the colors and shades of the lake.
The Nobel Prize for Literature Dario Fo lived the first years of his life in Porto Valtravaglia. He also wrote a book regarding the village: "Il paese dei "mezaràt". Mezaràt, that is "bats", the people of the night: this term originates from the fact that in the past many locals worked frequently on night shifts in factories, once present in the area. In Porto Valtravaglia and its hamlets you can admire the ancient washhouses and churches that still have their original features. Of particular interest is also the entire lakefront and the beautiful seventeenth-century buildings of the historic center. Especially in the summer Porto Valtravaglia and the neighboring villages, such as Caldè, come alive with parties and festivals, with live music, bars open until late and street food stalls. I grew up in these places, that for me, have always been unique and magical.
