Modern, Luxurious & cosy, La Campanula offers the perfect rooms to enjoy and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Each of our rooms are located on ground floor with Independent private entrances. The property was an abandoned mechanic shop, vacant for many years. Seeing the potential, the property has been completely transformed to create three private spaces. Keeping the character and beauty of the building was key during the renovation; each room features beautiful original exposed rock wall and high ceilings. We worked closely with local artisans and artists when creating the spaces to create what we believe be the perfect “home away from home”. All woodwork in the property such as the doors, benches, bed and side tables are all handcrafted locally in La Spezia from the highest quality materials.
La campanula is run by Husband and wife, Eugen & Victoria, both entrepreneurs with a love for travelling. Eugen has worked many years in Cinque Terre meeting and making friends with people from all around the world. Eugen & Victoria with a love for design dreamed of creating an affordable yet luxurious stay for guests from all the world so they could relax and enjoy visiting La Spezia and the beautiful Cinque Terre as much as them.
La Campanula is located in the Centro Storico of La Spezia, 500m from the train station. The accomodation is located in a quiet zone with access to free & paid on street parking. Within minutes you will find all needed amenities such as supermarket, restaurants, bars and cafes. Within walking distance you can visit San Giorgio Castle, Porto Mirabello, Marina Military Museum, Historic centre & via del prione, Museo Civico Amedeo Lia. Must visit Portovenere & Lerici are easily accessible by Bus, car or Ferry from La Campanula. If travelling by train or planning to visit Cinque Terre, La campanula is ideal; A flat well paved pedestrian path takes you from La Campanula directly to the station, wether carrying luggage or tired after a day of hiking Cinque Terre, La Campanula is conveniently located and a cosy stay!
