Loggiato Verga by BedandBros is a brand new luxury property, composed by one apartament with kitchen and two indipendent suites. They share the use of the internal covered terrace, called LOGGIATO. The apartment and suites are located on the first floor of one of the most iconic and renowned baroque Palaces of Ortigia, called Palazzo Bonanno-Landolina. It is an elegant eighteenth-century palace in Baroque style. Built between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century by the Bonanno family. The palace was heavily bombed during the Second World War and part of it was destroyed. The Bonanno palace, among others, hosted Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy and King of Sicily and the German Emperor William II Hohenzollern between 1889 and 1913. The name Loggiato refers to a wide covered terrace facing the palace baroque courtyard, historically called "loggiato" and now restored using the three marble stone visible also on the stairs: Red sicilian marble San Marco D'Alunzio, Grey marble Bardiglio and the white marble of Carrara.
