Situated high enough above Menaggio to enjoy stunning views in a peaceful setting yet only five minutes by car to the lakeside piazza at the heart of the town Car advised Menaggio has ferry and bus links to the rest of the lake and is the departure point for excursions to Lugano and St Moritz The property is positioned 5 minutes by car outside of Menaggio further up the hill. You can walk into town in approx. 20 to 25 minutes or explore on foot local restaurants, the local historical village of Loveno or walk along an ancient Roman road to a local Church at Nobiallo that plays Ave Maria at 8am and pm every day – the only sound you will hear apart from the odd hum of a bird or boat on the lake! There are also fabulous hikes up the dramatic mountains behind the apartment and all the other attractions up and down the Lake including the chance to bump into George Clooney in the nearby Laglio! You are only 20 minutes from the Swiss border and Lugano and 40 minutes one of the best“Designer Outlet” shopping Malls in Europe i.e. Foxtown in Mendrisio.
