Once home to the town’s bishop in the nineteenth century, and just steps away from the Duomo, this family-run bijou albergo / full service B&B occupies the main street of fabled Amalfi. Located within a short stroll to local beaches, and to the port, it’s the ideal base from which to explore all that this famed coast has to offer. With just four air-conditioned bedrooms and a cocooning dining room at its heart, Residenza Amalphia offers guests the sense that they are staying in Nonno’s elegant apartment, albeit with softly updated interiors that riff on southern Italian design motifs: traditional Amalfi tiles in pinks, yellows and blues anchor the space, while two of the four en suite bedrooms also feature beautifully frescoed ceilings. Hearty breakfasts are inspired by the family’s culinary heritage, from homemade lemon cake and savoury muffins, to seasonal grilled vegetables and local cheeses.

We are located in the centre of Amalfi - the famed jewel in the crown of the Amalfi Coast. Residenza Amalphia is on the second floor of a historic building that is accessed by two flights of stairs comprising around 30 steps. While we are of course on hand to assist you with luggage (in many cases we can meet you at the port on arrival), please be advised that there is no lift. While parking is available strictly by prior appointment, we strongly encourage guests to visit without a car, since parking in Amalfi, as on much of the coast, is limited. We are happy to arrange airport transfers and / or advise on ferry timings and ferry ticket bookings.
