Our beautiful Esino Lario - La Perla della Grigna- is located above Como Lake ( the access ways are from Varenna or Bellano) at an elevation of 1000 meters. The access roads are included into the Italian national program Route 65 - Scenic Route with breathtaking views on Como Lake. Our typical Italian mountain small city offers so many ways to experience local culture, including theatre, music festivals, sporting events and a weekly local market on Tuesdays that feature delicious traditional products from Valsassina/ Lombardia region. Museo Delle Grigne, situated at 50m from Stephanie Residence, is the Esino Lario museum and hosts exhibits that display the geological events and history of man in a local key. The beauty of our Esino Lario will bring you on a journey back in time, to the 12th century, as the architecture of ancient churches and the structure of the mountain village are extraordinarily well preserved and protected by our community. The spectaculare views on Lake Como could be seen by various hiking trails. Nature couldn’t be more at home than in Esino Lario. The apartament is located closed to charming restaurants, friendly bars & pizzerias (at affordable prices). The shopping area offers access to a supermarket, general stores, groceries, bank, pharmacy and more, all at a brief walking distance from the Stephanie Residence. There is public transportation available as well. You can take a local bus, which runs on a regular schedule, to Varenna (12km away) and Bellano (15km away). These are the closest cities with ferry terminals on Lake Como and railway stations for Milan, Lecco, or Bergamo. The closest ski slopes are at 40 minutes far by car ( valleys of Valsassina ). We are excited to host new friends and share our home as part of your memorable vacation.
