Villa Le Rose is located in the hillside area above Menaggio, a peaceful residential setting that offers beautiful views over Lake Como while remaining close to the town centre. Menaggio is one of the most charming and lively towns on central Lake Como, known for its elegant lakeside promenade, small piazzas, cafés and restaurants. The historic centre is about a 20-minute walk from the villa, where guests can enjoy relaxed strolls along the lake and dine in local restaurants overlooking the water. For a traditional Italian breakfast, locals often visit Pasticceria Cassera Moretti (Via Carlo Camozzi 12), a popular pastry shop known for its excellent coffee and fresh pastries. It is about 5 minutes by car from the villa. Daily shopping is easy thanks to the nearby Conad supermarket, located approximately 5 minutes away by car. Menaggio is also an excellent base for exploring the lake. The ferry terminal, just 4 minutes by car, offers frequent connections to Bellagio and Varenna, two of the most iconic villages on Lake Como. Guests who wish to experience the lake from the water can rent small motorboats directly along the Menaggio lakeside, many of which do not require a boating licence. Private boat tours and water taxis with a captain are also available for scenic cruises or transfers across the lake. For sports and outdoor activities, the historic Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club — one of the oldest golf courses in Italy — is about 4 minutes away by car, while Tennis Club ASD Top Spin Loveno can be reached in about 6 minutes.
