KAjette, which opened its doors in May 2023, is a designer hotel with 2 rooms, conveniently located for exploring Takayama. We’re just a 12-minute walk from Takayama Station (heading towards the city center) and a mere 1-minute walk from the iconic Kajibashi Bridge, famous for Miyagawa Morning Market. While being a short distance from the Miyagawa Morning Market and the historic streets, our hotel is a perfect starting point for exploration. You can enjoy a stay reminiscent of local life, whether savoring fresh local ingredients sourced from shops beloved by the community or dining at nearby eateries. Infused with the warm and inviting atmosphere unique to the shopping district, our hotel is a hidden gem cherished not only by guests but also by the local residents who call this charming place home.

Born in Gifu Prefecture, Takayama has been like a hometown to me since I was a child, brought by my parents even before I can remember, and I still visit it seasonally as an adult. The old towns, warm people, and rich culinary culture make it a place like a hometown. I opened KAjette with the desire that everyone who visits discovers their own way of enjoyment. I hope that everyone who comes can spend happy times.
