In the historic district of Kawaharamachi, the house is about a 10 minutes walk from Takayama train station and close to all the important seeing sights. Ideally located, Kanamori House is a great place to stay to fully enjoy your stay in Takayama. Combining modernity and tradition, it offers an authentic experience in a historic and peaceful neighborhood. Spacious, comfortable, the house can suit couples or larger groups.

Neighborhood info

The house is located in the old town of Takayama and is one of the neighborhoods represented at the Spring Festival. Kanamori and other houses in the area own one of the matsuri floats, called "Seryutai". During the Spring Festival, the floats are parked in the street next to the house, 2 minutes walk. From the house, you can reach all the most important tourist sites on foot (Sanmachi Suji, Morning market, Governor house...). In the evening, you can enjoy the nightlife (restaurants, bars...) in the Asahimachi and Dekonaru Yokocho districts, which are just 10 minutes walk from the house. Or simply enjoy Hida beef at one of the best restaurants in town (2 minutes from the house).
