I’m in my late 40s and live about 15 minutes from Morocco by scooter. 🛵 I was born and raised in Nagasaki City. My family is my wife and our two toy poodles, Ouji (born 2016) and Genji (born 2018). Ouji was born as an only puppy and is wonderfully spoiled. 🤣 He often bites me! 😭 Genji comes from a very good bloodline, but sadly, his owner has never managed to bring out his full potential. 😭 I love making things. I renovated Morocco with my own hands, starting in July 2024 and finishing in December. Morocco is very special to me. That’s why I personally clean every corner after each guest checks out, before the next guest arrives. Check-in and check-out are done in person, and I’m always happy to explain how to enjoy Morocco and its facilities. Why am I telling you all this? Because I understand why people can feel uneasy about private accommodations. Is it secure? Is it really clean? Will someone reply if you need help? Is your reservation actually confirmed? Morocco operates with a ryokan business license, not under Japan’s residential accommodation system. But more than anything, I want you to know that I truly care about this house. When I welcome guests, I imagine that a “friend of a friend” has come to stay. Not too close, not too distant. Not as formal as a hotel, but without the uneasiness of staying in a stranger’s home. A little familiar, warm, and comforting. That is the kind of place I hope Morocco can be. Please come and stay with peace of mind. ☆ We look forward to welcoming you. ♪

Thank you very much for your interest in "Morocco". Morocco is a one-of-a-kind traditional Japanese guesthouse, carefully renovated by hand over approximately five months starting in June 2024. Originally built in 1975, this cozy single-story home was filled with tatami rooms and represented an old-style Japanese house. Interestingly, it wasn’t even listed as a "house for sale," but rather as "land for sale," with the assumption it would be demolished. However, when we stepped inside, we felt it still had life left in it. We were drawn to its compact yet charming appearance and decided to revive it as a guesthouse. The renovation went beyond surface-level fixes. We reinforced structural elements beneath the floors and added insulation above the ceiling—all to ensure a comfortable stay for our guests. The indoor garage was also created DIY-style by removing part of the Japanese room and exterior walls. Inside, we used two types of cream-like paint to create a layered look, and added sand to the mixture to give the walls an aged, weathered texture. Though newly renovated, the space feels as if it has existed for over 200 years. The wings painted on the wall? Yes, we DIY’d those too. Antique mirrors, doors, stained glass, and tiled tables bring a unique vibrancy to the space. Dried flowers arranged throughout the rooms bring calm and comfort to our guests. We warmly invite you to visit Morocco and experience its atmosphere in person. I was born in 1975—just like this house. I’ve lived in Nagasaki City all my life, and I currently share my home with my wife and two beloved toy poodles. I love dogs so much that I organize dog events in Nagasaki, including a Dog Festival at Mt. Inasa last year, which welcomed around 3,000 visitors. Fresh Food & Daily Goods: Don Quijote (6-minute walk) Restaurants: Japanese cuisine (7-minute walk), conveyor belt sushi (5-minute drive), yakitori (10-minute walk) Morocco is located in Motomuragō, Togitsu Town, Nishisonogi District, right on the border with Nagasaki City. The surrounding area is convenient, with many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. One of our top recommendations is "Suisan Shokudō", a popular Japanese seafood restaurant located within the Nagasaki Fish Market. They serve incredibly fresh sashimi and seafood rice bowls, made with fish caught the same day. The restaurant has even been featured on TV! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Morocco. Another highlight is the Togitsu Waterfront Park, a lovely place to take a relaxing stroll while enjoying the view of the calm Omura Bay. There are many playgrounds for children, and it’s also perfect for walking your dog. In the winter, oyster huts open along the shoreline, offering seasonal seafood delights. It’s just a 5–6 minute drive from Morocco.
