Our lovely cottages are located on our lifestyle property just as you come into Carterton - we are the first lifestyle property on suburban edge. Unit 1 is a character cottage which feels homely and welcoming, it has a great private outdoor area with BBQ and feels roomy and inviting, it also has the bonus of a lovely spa bath. Unit 2 is a newer unit which is open plan bedroom/living/kitchen, it also has its own private BBQ area and parking and lovely view of the farmland and ranges. You also have full use of the lovely swimming pool during the warmer months, it's not heated but trust me on our hot summer days it is very refreshing! Carterton has some amazing walks, great winery's and cafe's, Martinborough is also close by for wine tastings and restaurants as well as Greytown for its boutique shops. We are a great position to be in the South Wairarapa, wonderfully quiet in this peaceful corner around an hour away from the Wellington. We have horses and sheep on our property along with the family dogs and cats. Pets are welcome with prior arrangement and must be safe with stock. If you do require the foldout bed there is an additional charge for the bedding for this.

Welcome to Aratahi Cottage, Clint and I (Catherine) are your hosts. Clint's a bit camera shy but I am working on a photo of both of us! We live here on a lovely private lifestyle block with our pets and horses. The horses are very friendly and you may find them looking through your window at time to time looking for food! If you have any questions about the area or things to do, places to eat etc please ask and we will be able to recommend places to you.

Carterton is a very welcoming town with plenty to do, there are great restaurants and bars and many nature walks to do. We are only 5 minutes drive to Greytown shop and Martinborough is only 15-20 minutes away.
