Atea is a boutique B and B Lodge elevated above lush native bush and gardens. It has spectacular sea and mountain views. There is a covered deck from your room for your enjoyment. Wander down to the unique wooden beamed lounge overlooking the water garden for a game of pool or billiards on the full sized billiard table, or relax on the comfortable sofa with a book. The private outdoor bath is perfect to relax in. The stars are incredible on a clear night for astrophotographers. Our refurbished rooms are fresh and contemporary - with luxury beds, fine linen and air-conditioning for your comfort. The bathrooms are fully tiled with under floor heating and rain showers. Our Manuka and Koru Suites have bi fold doors out onto the large deck. Each room has a table setting and comfortable chairs on the expansive deck to enjoy the panoramic mountain and sea views. A superb gourmet breakfast from our menu is complimentary. Dinner is available at our restaurants and food outlets in Coromandel Town - five minutes drive away. There are no guest cooking facilities at the Lodge.

Your hosts Lynn and Kelvin have worked in hospitality previously for many years - Lynn in Airlines and Kelvin in Hotel Engineering. They are passionate about preserving and nurturing the flora and fauna around them, and enjoy sharing their special tranquil and peaceful slice of the Coromandel with their guests.
