The cottage is located on the waterfront of the historic Mangonui Village. The cottage was built in 1920 and has been renovated with a heritage style kitchen and bathroom, highlighted with vintage fittings and fixtures. The sunny porch is ideal to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the harbour or retreat to the private courtyard at the rear of the property for your afternoon drinks and BBQs. The village is a short, flat 10 minute work which has numerous shops, art galleries and cafes.
I have been holiday letting the cottage since 2018. It brings me joy to have guests enjoy the opportunity to stay in this unique little gem in a stunning location. If you enjoy heritage properties, sea views and village life with amenities close by. Then this is the place for you.
The cottage is close to shops and cafes. There are numerous beaches within a 10 minute drive. The famous Mangonui Fish & Chip shop is 10-15 minutes walk from the cottage. Mangonui is the ideal place to stay if you are travelling to Cape Reinga and has a great selection of eateries to enjoy either before or after your Cape Reinga trip.
