Lovely quiet & peaceful timber cottage situated on 100 acres of lush farmland, just north of Auckland city. Sunny and warm with lots of open space, gardens & level lawn areas within a fully fenced section. We are pet friendly for those that have pets, or you can give attention to our on-site pets as much as you wish. The sun rises on one side of the house and sets on the other side, therefore both can be enjoyed from the decks with amazing elevated rural views and colours. Fresh farm eggs & produce will be gifted to guests upon arrival, subject to seasonal availability.

We live on site & manage the farm and cottage ourselves. Our farming practices are based on organic principles as much as we possibly can, we use only organic fertilisers here, you will see evidence of our re-use & re-cycle practices, and we are happy to share information about our farm and management - farm tours also are possible. We have a small facility for accommodating dogs and cats whilst owners are away. Providing clean & comfortable accommodation is important to us, along with the satisfaction of our guests.

If you're a golf enthusiast you are spoilt for choice - at least 6 courses within a 50 km radius: Helensville, Wainui, Whangaparaoa, Muriwai, Warkworth, Omaha. Bike riders are looked after here too. MTB trails and walks in the nearby Riverhead forest, as easy or difficult as you can manage, and you can ride directly from the accommodation. Lots of choice for road riding, quiet roads from accomodation itself, or bike trails all within easy drive. There are 8 Auckland Regional Parks all within 50 km radius, all are coastal with gorgeous beaches, walks, wildlife, picnic areas, and scenery to die for. Shakespeare and Tawharanui parks are completely predator free, and for this reason these particular parks have amazing wildlife often not seen elsewhere. Other parks include: Wenderholm, Muriwai, Mahurangi, Scandrett, Atiu Creek. Kayaking and swimming/surfing options are endless also with numerous beaches & estuary rivers to choose from, Hibiscus Coast on the east or Muriwai Coast on the west. We are located directly in the middle of both east & west coasts, therefore 30 minutes drive to either coast. Nearest large shopping centre is Silverdale, it has 2 supermarkets, many choices for dining and cafes, and is 15 minutes drive. Our local village of Waitoki has Swiss Bliss chocolatier (YUM!), local cafes with all homemade foods, and a GAS service station for fuel & basic grocery items. Several wineries in the Kumeu winery region only 20 minutes drive, the food is also outstanding at these wineries, and this area also offers superb venues for weddings, etc.
