Wake to the sound of birdsong, waves crashing on the shore on the ocean beach below. Prepare your breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen, then relax in the dining nook that overlooks the garden. Take a spa bath (in East or West). What are you going to do for the rest of your stay? Go bird watching, swim at the beach, go biking on the Motu trails, visit one of the largest collections of native plants at Hukutaia Domain or explore nearby Onekawa Te Mawhai Regional Park or just relax?
Stephan has been enjoying welcoming guests to Ohiwa Seascape Studios since late 2017. He loves sharing this wonderful property and surrounding areas with our guests. It's a great place to just relax, or go hiking, bird watching, fishing, swimming... just ask and we can tell you what you can do during your stay with us.
Ohiwa is a 10 minute drive from Opotiki. We are a 2 minute walk from Ohiwa / Bryans Beach. Enjoy swimming at Bryans Beach, observe the diverse birdlife, fish from the beach. Hukutaia Domain is one of the largest collections of native plants in NZ (15 minute drive). Motu Cycle Trails is a 10 minute drive. Whakatane is a 30 minute drive.
