Welcome to Pine Holt Cottage!
We look forward to hosting you in our private guest cottage, which is situated at the end of a quiet country road on the edge of Warkworth.
Pine Holt Cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway for two, or a peaceful escape for families and friends. There are sweeping countryside views in all directions.
The self-contained cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests.
There are 3 bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with a single bed) and 1 family bathroom.
There is a large outdoor entertaining area with a hot tub, patio furniture and a barbecue for guest use.
The downstairs indoor areas include the living/TV room, a queen-sized bedroom, a single bedroom, and a bathroom with a laundry space.
The upstairs living areas include a fully equipped kitchen/dining area with more relaxed seating, plus a queen-sized bedroom with a built-in wardrobe.
There is plenty of space on our property to relax, roam and picnic.
There is a key lock box available to enable an easy self-check-in/checkout process for you.
Your hosts also live nearby, in a separate house on the property. We can make ourselves available, should you have any queries or need any help.
Other points to note:
Pine Holt Cottage is located at the end of a narrow country road, which is unsealed.
We have a few sheep on the property.
The cottage living accommodation is spread across two levels.
There is an interior staircase. The kitchen/dining room and one of the queen bedrooms is situated upstairs.
The living/TV room, two more of the bedrooms and the bathroom/laundry space are located downstairs.
There is ample private parking right outside the cottage for your exclusive use.
There are four wide outside steps with a handrail to access the cottage and the patio from the drive/parking area.
The bathroom offers a toilet, wash basin and shower, but there is not an indoor bath available.
Pine Holt Cottage is located close to Woodhouse Mountain Lodge, Warkworth township and the Matakana Coast, north of Auckland.
There is much to explore in the Warkworth and Rodney areas, and along the Matakana Coast. We have many lovely beaches, parks, wineries, sculpture parks, golf courses and local farmers’/country markets for you to choose between.
There are plenty of local bars, restaurants, cafes and eateries, offering take away, dine-in, casual and more formal dining options.
Within the nearby Warkworth township, there are several EV charging and petrol/gas stations available, plus three main supermarkets (Pak n Save, Woolworth and New World). There are also Four Square superettes located at Snells Beach and Matakana.
There are also plenty of smaller, independent shops, boutiques, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the centres of both Warkworth township and Matakana village.
There is lovely boardwalk along the Mahurangi river towards Lucy Moore park and a short bush boardwalk in Parry Kauri park next to Warkworth Museum on the edge of town. Longer bush and coastal walking and cycling routes are also available in the wider area.
If needed during your stay, there are some larger, well-known stores available in Warkworth township. These include, Mitre 10, The Warehouse, Hunting and Fishing, Chemist Warehouse, Repco and SuperCheap Auto. These are all located within the Kowhai Falls development on Woodcocks Road in Warkworth.
There are tourist information centres located in both central Warkworth and Matakana, plus they both have websites and online social media pages for your information and interest.
We have left a selection of local information leaflets in the holiday cottage. This includes some of the tourist attractions, regular local events, and nearby eating and drinking venue options for you to consider sampling during your stay.
