Rataview Cottage and Rata Cottage are located on the edge of the stunning Paparoa National Park on the South Island's West Coast. Rataview has full 180 degree view of the magnificant coastline and Rata Cottage has partial views from the dining area. The deck at Rataview allows you to enjoy watching the lovely West Coast sunsets. Both units have full kitchen and bathroom facilities, free-to-air channels and mobile access. The property is located near Barrytown, only 12 minutes' drive to the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki and the nearest Cafe - Pancake Rocks Cafe. Greymouth and the closest shops are 16 mi to the South.

“Very nice location for a trip up the Northwest coast of South Island. Close to beaches and Pancake Rocks. A good base to head further up the coast to Cape Foulwind where we saw the seals. It actually could take 4 people but we only had 2.”

“Barrytown coastal route 6 is phenomenal!! Awesome views, comfy cabin. We had Netflix one night. Close to Pancake Rocks, Conservation Visitor Center, both where awesome. Pancake Cafe had great food!! We loved our stay.”
