Everything! It’s practical, having all the amenities of modern living. Yet, it has a delightful rustic charm that appeals to the traveller who wants to unwind. Herbs in the garden, birds singing, no one can see you, untamed natural vegetation surrounding you just 1 minute off the main highway. Which I will add for city folk is an old world two lane highway. We recommend to all lifestyles.

I rarely do reviews of the accomodation I stay in but View With A Room is exceptional and ranks anonst the very best places weve stayed in the world over. Everything was perfect - the view (it trulely is stunning), the furnishings, the bed was divine, the dinner was outstanding and the breakfast likewise. Could not be faulted.

I cannot recommend this place enough. An absolute must if you are passing through. We were greeted by the two lovely bartenders in what I can only describe as an old school saloon vibe, with locals sitting outside, drinking and conversing. It truly made us feel like being part of the village. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, simple, but tasty breakfast. This is an absolute gem.

Barrytown itself is very small but it is about 10 minutes...

Barrytown itself is very small but it is about 10 minutes from Punakaiki which is spectacular. This was a strategic place for a group of four (two couples) to stay. But you will need to bring food items go to the Punakaiki hotel. The coast road is beautiful on a good day. Remember to fill up on fuel as Greymouth is 25 mins away. Forest Edge is lovely.

Loved the space was comfortable felt like home kitchen...

Loved the space was comfortable felt like home kitchen bathroom and outdoor area. Hot tub was at the top of the hill didn't use it was very wet when we got there but looked nice. Breakfast was in the fridge when we git there heater was on house was warm. Recommend this wfi didn't work TV didn't connect weather was bad but it was good we didn't need to use technology.

Such a magical location. The house surreal🥰 warm n Cosy, in the midst of bush. Native birds on the deck Absolutely loved our stay and to our surprise there was a concert at the local Barrytown hall. Supurb place awesome entertainment sitting on sofas humbled by the community spirit and made truly to feel welcomed into their beautiful community ❤️ Highly recommend. Thank you Reda we loved our stay ☺️

Stayed in the Caravan and it was exactly what I expected. I wanted a weekend away and not staying in a hotel. Even with the typical West Coast rain the caravan was comfortable and cosy. Located in a beautiful part of the country and a short walk to the beach. Absolutely lovely.

Barrytown coastal route 6 is phenomenal!! Awesome views, comfy cabin. We had Netflix one night. Close to Pancake Rocks, Conservation Visitor Center, both where awesome. Pancake Cafe had great food!! We loved our stay.
