Akin to a museum, you are free to wander around at your leisure while enjoying a hot beverage from the coffee hut, also serving snacks.

GATEWAY TO TEKAPO AND THE MACKENZIE DISTRICT. The Sawmillers Wagon is located at 3 Creeks, Burkes pass and is a beautifully crafted and charming abode with many practical features. Cooking facilities include an oven, grill, gas cooktop, microwave, kettle and toaster with pots and pans. Surrounded by treed hilly paddocks and fields, the Sawmillers Wagon hut has a sunny patio, table with bench chairs all made on sight, as is all the furniture, metal work and huts by our awesome craftsmen during the week day. Two alpacas, 2 cat's and gorgeous hens meander around the property and welcome you. We have a coffee hut with snacks and interesting shops for you to browse. A small complimentary breakfast welcomes you to our quiet and serene corner of the world with mountain views and located half way between the pretty town of Fairlie and the bustling lakeside tourist destination of Tekapo with its many activities. A baby weber BBQ is available for you to use by request. It is expected that you please clean it after use. ( We are pet friendly by request and ask you to let us know in advance so we can inform you of the rules around having your fur baby with you. Absolutely no pets on beds and will incur cleaning fee if we see evidence of this. Also dogs must be kept on a lead as we have alpacas and chickens free ranging some of the time.)

3 Creeks is located right in the middle of the pretty town of Fairlie and the bustling hotspot of Tekapo. A short drive to both and you have restaurants, shops and various activities. My Dobson is a 40 minute drive to a popular boutique ski resort.
