IsraelThis place oozes charm and character! Kris, the manager, is on the premises at all times and is friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed. However, it’s not for everyone, as it’s all refurbished flea-market style. For us it was absolutely awesome.

United StatesThis place is amazing. You have the comfort of home but with views like you’re camping. I was lucky and I could see all the stars and the moon it was beautiful. There is wifi and warm water which is a plus. The cabin is super cute with big windows which allow you to see the night sky even from bed. They have nice lawn chairs outside as well. They have activities you can book but I was only there for a night so I didn’t get to try them. The host was easily accessible with any needs.

Return guests. Great location for skiing and visiting Tekapo. Love how quiet and dark it is at night. Stunning uninterrupted views of the snowy mountain. Very comfortable beds and the facilities are clean and considered. Will be coming back!

The area is perfect for lake Tekapo and for viewing the night skies.
The accommodation was clean and well equipped. You can get food there but we decided to cook our own.
A great couple of nights stay in an ideal location.

Lovely comfortable older-style motel not far out of Tekapo. Has been refurbished and had everything we needed. Shower was great & beds were very comfortable. Surprisingly quiet despite being near main road. Host was friendly & welcoming. Maybe a little small for more than 2 or 3 people or for more than a couple of nights. Travellers need to bring all food etc as no shops in settlement.

The location worked out for our travel arrangements.
The location worked out for our travel arrangements. It was different and the owners were hard working and was a good overnight stopover. A restaurant/hotel was located 6 mins up the road and a little general store across road with a bit of history and garden furniture to see.

The cabin was as described when we booked it. The Tiny Away model is great. The cabin was still quite new. The farm and valley location was lovely. Farm sheep were adjacent and and their calls provided a great soundscape, as did the wild birds. The valley location was 10k from Burkes Pass on a track. In the other direction was Mackenzie Pass with a memorial stone at the spot where James MacKenzie was arrested & escaped!

Awesome location and a lot to explore on site! It's close to Tekapo but still a bit out there. You actually pass through a lupin field to reach Tekapo so the 15 min drive is totally fine. The village of Burkes pass is very cute, besides the amazing shop where you will be sleeping there is a cute church with information about the history of the pass!

Everything was new and clean. Comfortable bed and furniture. Nice to have a full size fridge. We drove 7k to Kimbell and had a wonderful dinner at the Creekside pub. It was fun taking the walking tour around Burkes pass the next morning. An interesting historical place.
