Brand new, stylish downstairs apartment in a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac. One sunny queen bedroom with a garden view, also a studio bedroom with a king-single bed, a couch, a heatpump, Freeview TV, and includes a kitchenette with fridge, double hotplate, pizza oven & microwave for light meals. A modern, spacious bathroom features toilet, shower & separate bath. Indoor/outdoor flow from the studio onto a private patio with lovely gardens. Tea and coffee-making facilities available in the studio. Off-street park for ONE CAR ONLY at the top of the driveway by the fence in front of the caravan, other vehicles please park on our safe, well-lit street. Three-minute walk to bus stop, 12 mins drive (6km) to the city & 20 minutes (12km) to beautiful Mt Maunganui surf beach and cafes, as well as CBD and harbour front with cafes, bars and restaurants. You'll love the peace and tranquillity of this well-appointed garden setting in lovely Matua, one of Tauranga's top suburbs, very safe and well cared for; just walking distance to bus stop, beaches, walking and cycling tracks and parks; close to shopping centres and supermarkets, award-winning Mills Reef Winery, and a 9-hole golf course. Two-minutes drive to beautiful Fergusson Park, popular for swimming, walking, cycling, kayaking, kite boarding and other water sports.
Retired school teacher, private tutor and freelance editor, married 49 years to Lorraine, retired bridal designer and dressmaker. We have previously hosted international students in our home for ten years and guests in our apartment for five years. We enjoy time with family and friends, gardening and DIY, walking and cycling, travelling to NZ's South Island, and listening to worship and gospel music. We try to treat others how we would like to be treated.
We live in a well-established neighbourhood which is very quiet, peaceful and safe... one of Tauranga's top suburbs, and yet very close to all amenities such as the bus route, the CBD, and the beautiful Mount Maunganui with its famous swimming and surf beaches. There are delicious take-aways available just down the road, or a full range of food options only 3 minutes drive away at the Cherrywood Shopping Centre (full details contained in the compendium found in the studio room).
