Kia ora and welcome! We’re a family of five who feel incredibly lucky to call Queenstown home. I grew up here, and we both work in the tourism and hospitality industry, so sharing this special place with visitors is something we genuinely love. We’re an outdoorsy family who live and breathe the mountains — passionate skiers, golfers, bikers, walkers and explorers. When we’re not on the trails, you’ll likely find us enjoying time on Lake Wakatipu. We LOVE travelling ourselves, and we equally LOVE hosting fellow travellers who are keen to explore our incredible region. We’d be delighted to share this beautiful slice of paradise with you.

This spacious, stand-alone private guest house has everything you need for an amazing stay. Private entrance, very large deck with BBQ and private garden space. The property is situated on the lake edge. A short private bush track allows access to the steps down to the beach. Although designed for two people an additional single bed can be provided. Te Toka is on a lake front location from which you can access the lovely beaches of Lake Wakatipu on the Cecil Peak side of Kelvin Heights. The front door entry is off the main path, opening into the lounge, dining area, and a complete kitchen area containing all appliances, generous cutlery and crockery and a full fridge/freezer, self-catering is very easy. There is a separate bedroom situated at the rear of the home, which has walk-in wardrobes plus a large en suite bathroom with a heated tiled floor and walk in shower. Double glazing throughout and a huge gas fireplace in the living area to ensure your stay will be warm even in the coldest Queenstown winter. Washing machine and Dryer are located adjacent to the home in the garage. The house is fully self-contained with a spacious deck, BBQ & deck chairs plus a small lawn. We will leave you to enjoy the tranquillity and privacy, but we are there to assist with any questions. We live on-site in the main house but are totally separate from the guesthouse.

Kelvin Heights is nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and is beloved by both locals and visitors. Often regarded as one of New Zealand’s most desirable places to live, it offers breathtaking views, direct lake access, and fantastic walking and biking trails right on your doorstep. You can relax or stroll to Jardine Park or wander along the lakefront. Enjoy lunch or coffee at the Queenstown Golf Club — an easy walk away. The bus stop is just two minutes from the house, or take a 10-minute walk to catch the water ferry into town. We’re only 15 km from central Queenstown, making it easy to dip into the action while staying in a peaceful lakeside setting. We look forward to welcoming you!
