Our Hideaway is set back from the road making it very quiet and peaceful, with the feeling of being in the country yet only 800m from the towns Main Street.
Mark and Jen welcome you to enjoy a home away from home stay. We have tried to create a comfortable homely atmosphere for all our guests. Mark works from home and does all the gardening, Jen works part time as a support, care giver to the elderly in the community to assist them to remain in their own homes. The best thing about being a host is the variety of guests that come to stay and hearing about where they are from and have been. Strangers are friends we have not yet met. Those strangers are the guests we have yet to host.
Waihi is a small rural town steeped in Gold Mining history. Centrally positioned with easy access to some of the best fishing in NZ. Waihi beach is only a 10 minute drive and the famous Whangamata only a 30minute drive. The town has fantastic cycle/walkways. The people are always friendly. Town has a variety of shops and eateries.
