FAIAL da TERRA is a little village, 67km from Ponta Delgada airport (1h20’ by car). CASA AURI is a typical house of the Azores, with local materials such as basalt stone and wood. It is decorated with family furniture and vacations souvenirs. Located in the centre of Faial da Terra, Casa Auri as an equipped kitchen with electric stove, fridge, microwave, free washing machine, coffee makers: French press, Moka pot and electric coffee maker, NO expresso machine; pots, frying pans, mugs,cups and wine glasses, bowls, colanders and other accessories. Bedroom: one double bed (foam mattress 190cmx140cm), chest of drawers, bedside tables and blackout curtains. Bathroom: supply of toiletries, hairdryer, free extra towels. Living room: cable TV (NO streaming service), sofa, armchairs, open wardrobe, free Wi-Fi, black curtains. Extra blankets and throws. Heathers, dehumidifier and fans (NO air conditioning). Some windows with nets. The patio has a porch with a local stone table, hammock, chairs, benches and a little garden. Casa Auri has self check-in with key box, and private parking. In the centre of Faial da Terra village: snack-bar, cafeteria, supermarket and an ATM. Our house Casa Auri is an official accommodation (AL) under the license RRAL 930.
We are the owners and hosts of Casa Auri. We live in São Miguel island.
Faial da Terra is surrounded by green hills and a river in the middle of the village. The sea promenade is 500m away from Casa Auri, with beach and public pool. There are walking trails including "Salto do Prego", one of the most beautiful of São Miguel Island, with two waterfalls (where is possible to take a bath), Sanguinho village, etc. Close to Casa Auri there are two snack bars, small supermarket and an ATM. From Ponta Delgada airport to Faial da Terra: 67km (1h20’) by car. All photos were taken by us.
