Welcome to Castanheiro. Our property is a recently refurbished house built around a century old chestnut tree. A spacious terrace offers a panoramic view of Santa Cruz bay. It is conveniently located in Lagoa and within a 3 min walk to the ocean. A stroll to the natural swimming pools will take You 10 mi. The house was lovingly restored to maintain it's original stone features . A perfect place to enjoy with family and friends as it comfortably accomodates up to 6 people.
I'm a tour guide and my wife a teacher and we both share a passion for travelling and meeting new people.
The neighbourhood is renowned for the Franciscan convent with its gardens, Santa Cruz church dates back to the 16th century and the natural swimming pools are a great attraction all year around. There are various minimarkets, cafes, cash point and pharmacy at the doorstep
