Located in Caloura, one of the most iconic and idyllic spots of S. Miguel island, Galera Cottage offers its guests a unique view over the sea, proximity of bathing areas, priceless tranquillity, and the possibility to visit the seventeenth century chapel of Nossa Senhora de Monserrate, located inside the propriety. The house stands out for its simple lines and for the use of materials typical of the Azores, such as traditional black stone, wooden beams and regional tiles. Some artifacts related to vineyards and wine were also used in indoor and outdoor decoration. Here, past and present merge and our guests are invited to spend a few days in a house full of history, but completely renewed, so that they can have all the amenities necessary for relaxing vacations in an idyllic spot such as Caloura. Kitchen and living room function in open space. The kitchen is all equipped and has oven/microwave and ceramic hob. The living room has a table for four, sofa bed and TV. The room has two single beds, bedroom table, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Outside, the guests can enjoy the garden and the belvedere, ideal for contemplating the sea and experience the tranquility of Caloura nights.

Galera Cottage is located at Caloura, about 14 Kms from São Miguel Island main city, Ponta Delgada. To arrive here, you'll have to rent a car, or take a taxi or a bus to the nearest village, Água de Pau. Once you are here you can walk all around. Caloura is very calm and beautiful. The house is close to the sea and bathing areas, so you don't need any transportation to go for a dip, or to eat fresh fish in the nearest restaurant. It is also quite easy to go from here to any other part of the island. Please do not smoke inside the house. All gates that give access to the house must always be closed and locked. We like to preserve our privacy and the privacy of our guests. Please use only the space reserved to you and do not bring any guests without asking your host first.
