Aldeia do Golfe was the very first purpose-built touristic village in the Algarve. Every home here is unique, part of a monumental project that couldn’t be repeated today. The community was built on the site of an old Quarteiran farm, where olive and fruit trees still thrive, a charming reminder of the area's roots. Our home sits on a quiet lane that features a 460-year-old olive tree, a living piece of history right outside your door. We chose to retire early to the Algarve, and buying our home here was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. It’s peaceful, green, and full of life, yet still close to everything. If you love the beach, you’re in for a treat. Our local beach, Praia da Falésia, was voted one of the Top 25 Beaches in the World by Travelers’ Choice. It’s an endless stretch of golden sand and clear water, ideal for long walks, sunbathing, or simply relaxing by the sea. One of our favorite things to do is simply stroll through Aldeia do Golfe in the evenings. The gardens, the peaceful atmosphere, and the friendly community make it truly special. Convenient Location with Great On-Site Facilities The villa is located within a gated community that offers two seasonal swimming pools (including an adult pool and a separate baby pool), a restaurant, a licensed coffee shop/bakery, and a Spar mini market — all right on site. You’re within walking distance to the renowned Dom Pedro Championship Golf Course, and perfectly positioned in the "golf triangle" with easy access to several other top-rated courses. Browns Sports & Leisure Club is also just a short walk away. For outdoor enthusiasts, running tracks, bike lanes, and free-to-use fitness machines can be found along the main avenue leading into Vilamoura. Families will love the proximity to Aquashow Waterpark — just 6.7 km (around 12 minutes by car). There’s also a bus stop right outside the complex, with regular services to Albufeira, Loulé, Quarteira, and beyond. Need groceries?
